The overall ranking is based on evaluations of research publications, media appearances
and the resonance of policy advisors. All criteria take quantitative as well as qualitative
measures into account
The following two FS-professors were acknowledged as one of the top 100 most
influential economists of universities and institutions in Germany, Austria and
Switzerland:
• Professor Dr. Michael Koetter, professor of banking and finance was ranked 59th.
• Professor Dr. Olaf Stotz, professor of asset management was ranked 94th.

MEDIA TENOR UNIVERSITY AWARD 2012
FRANKFURT SCHOOL TAKES THE BRONZE!
Between July 2011 and June 2012, global media research institute Media Tenor measured and
assessed the visibility of internationally active universities in TV newscasts in France, Germany, Italy,
Spain, South Africa, the UK and the USA. Seventeen universities were mentioned at least 25 times,
which meant they qualified for the MEDIA TENOR University Award 2012. The universities’ TV
presence was assessed on the basis of ten criteria.
Results:
• 1st place: FU Berlin and Oxford
• 2nd place: Columbia and LSE
• 3rd place: Frankfurt School of Finance & Management
