How to Request a Large Generation Interconnection with Puget Sound Energy, Inc. Puget Sound Energy, Inc. (PSE) is an investor-owned utility subject to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) jurisdiction. The procedure for requesting an interconnection to PSE’s system is the same as that contained in FERC’s Order 2003-A, Standard Large Generator Interconnection Procedures (LGIP). The LGIP is part of PSE’s Open Access Transmission Tariff, which can be found on PSE’s OASIS at the following web address: http://www.oatioasis.com/psei/index.html. To initiate an interconnection request, the Interconnection Customer shall submit to Puget Sound Energy’s Transmission Provider function: • • • • A written Interconnection Request (see Appendix 1 to the LGIP for data requirements). A deposit of $10,000. PSE shall apply the deposit toward the cost of an Interconnection Feasibility Study. Subsequent studies require additional deposits. A separate Interconnection Request for each site, or multiple Interconnection Requests for a single site. A deposit is required with each Interconnection Request even when more than one request is submitted for a single site. An Interconnection Request to evaluate one site at two different voltage levels shall be treated as two Interconnection Requests.
