Description
The BSBT Series is a compact building entrance terminal for residential and commercial
buildings. BSBT enclosures are available in two sizes. The smaller enclosure has a splice
capacity up to 900 pair, the larger up to 1500 pair.
The enclosures are manufactured of heavy gauge mill-galvanized steel, treated with a
unique finishing process for longer life. The hinged divider plate provides convenient
access and bolts shut when splicing is completed to eliminate unauthorized entry into the
splice bundle. For convenient cable entry, knockouts are located on the top and back of
the enclosure. Service wire ports are also provided. They are designed to mount to virtually any surface with stand-off mounting brackets, which are included.
The units combine a enclosure with our own RGT Series A-line terminal blocks to provide
protection and cross-connect capabilities. The RGT terminal blocks used in the BSBT Series
feature bright, acid-tin plated studs, nuts and washers to prevent corrosion, as well as
polyurethane resin potting to prevent cracking.
Application
The BSBT Series outdoor building terminals
provide a cross-connect system for apartment
buildings, townhouses, condominiums, light
commercial buildings, and other multiple
dwellings. The units provide station protection and termination of house wires and
cables with a capacity of up to 50-pair protected; 100-pair unprotected.
