The PSE series
The Elmeq PSE-series unregulated power supplies are available in a power
range up to 300VA. The power supplies have a CE approval and are excellent
for use in combination with permanent magnet DC motors and stepper motor
systems. The power supply is well protected with designed-in over-current
protection and has a robust metal enclosure.
Optionally a regeneration power resistor (bleed resistor) to absorb regenerated
energy from the motor can be build-in the power supply.

Connections:
3 pole connector for mains / 2 pole connector for the DC-voltage.
Fuses:
The placed fuse in the mains, is a time lag fuse with high I2T value.
Mains filter:
This is a standard mains filter (it is not a guarantee that this filter is optimized for
every application)
Capacitor:
A 10.000uF/ 63Vdc is standard. Optional a 10.000uF/ 63Vdc can be edit, to
suppress voltage ripple. For VDC output larger then 42VDC a 4.700uF/ 100Vdc is
standard and as an extra optional. The need for a extra capacitor is depending on
the application.
DC-Ground and PE: There is standard no connection between the Ground of the dc-voltage and the
PE. Optional the DC-Ground can be connected to the PE.
Shunt circuit:
When the motor-load has a large inertia and the application is very dynamic, the
dc-voltage can increase very fast. For these situations there is an optional shunt
circuit, which avoids over voltage by dissipating heat via an internal 39 ohm/5W
resistor. The over voltage level can be adjusted with a potentiometer between 22
and 63 VDC. The maximum dissipation is limited to 5W and protected by a
resetable fuse of 0,5A.
