Ilil Arbel Ilil Arbel was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Her parents were Dr. Arie (Leibek) Rosenfeld, an oral surgeon, and Yehudit (Ida) Wissotzky-Rosenfeld, the daughter of the Russian-Israeli writer Dr. Avraham Wissotzky, whose books include Tel-Aviv and Green Flame. Arbel received her B.A. (Fine Arts Illustration) from École Supérieure Des Arts Modernes in Paris, and her M.A. and Ph.D. (Mythology and Folklore) from Westbrook University in New Mexico. She also engaged in studying diverse subjects, including indexing courses at USDA Graduate School in Washington D.C., graduate certification courses for business writing at New York University, a certificate program in horticulture at Penn State Agricultural College, and a certificate program in fiction and nonfiction writing for children at the Institute of Children Literature in Connecticut. Ilil Arbel is the author of a number of books (see list). Her short stories and folktales were published by Mountain Muse, Amazon Shorts and Encyclopedia Mythica. She had contributed numerous articles on the subjects of natural history, personal histories, biography, health, education, social commentaries, and Judaic myths to many publications. “It is of major interest to readers of the works of Thirkell and Anthony Trollope!” Valerie Constand, World Art Celebrity Journal “… After forty years of silence, the book gives new life to Barsetshire. It is going to be extremely well received, there is no doubt of that, so I expect Miss Arbel to write additional Barsetshire novels, hopefully creating a body of work of her own. A whole new era is opening up! Therefore, for readers of 1 Trollope and Thirkell, or for anyone who truly loves English literature, Miss Glamora Tudor! is a major literary event.” Maximillien de Lafayette, International News Agency “The author of Miss Glamora Tudor!, Ilil Arbel, lives in New York and is certainly not from the United Kingdom, but behold a miracle! Despite these facts she can use our language! She elegantly weaves her way between the speech of the upper classes, the lower classes, and the Americans that appear in the book, with great style and seemingly with ease. Truth is, she sounds exactly like Angela Thirkell, not an easy task.” Nigel Huntington, International Herald Daily News “Many devoted readers of the Barsetshire saga expressed their wish to see fresh material about their favorite little corner of the world. In addition, Glamora Tudor had never been on stage in the Thirkell body of work, but she had been imagined by every reader!” Esther O.
