The Pitt-Titusville admissions office welcomes all new students to campus. STUDENT AMBASSADOR RECRUITMENT The Admissions Office is recruiting new Student Ambassadors. Student Ambassadors are a select group of volunteers who assist the Admissions Office by giving tours to prospective students and their families, attending on-campus recruitment events and representing Pitt-Titusville in the community. If you are interested in applying, applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2. If you have any questions about the organization, please contact Cricket Wencil-Tracey in the Admissions Office at 814/827-4427 or wencil@pitt.edu PITT NIGHT AT THE TITUSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME We would like to encourage students, faculty and staff to attend “Pitt Night” at the Titusville High School football game on Friday, September 16 against Harbor Creek. This event will show our “Pitt Pride” while supporting our local athletes, band members, communities and hopefully future Pitt students. Tickets can be purchase from Student Affairs. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Wear your Pitt attire and come out to the game to show your “Pitt Pride”! Have you ever wanted to be a cool Kidd? If so, then come have a cook-out with RA’s Jason and Mitch! We will be serving burgers and hot dogs, beverages and snacks—including watermelon. Play corn hole, soccer, Frisbee or football. There is something for everyone! We will meet at Burgess Park (behind the town houses) at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3rd. Students, faculty and staff are welcome!!!!! RA Training—Photos by David Whiteman Learning Center Presents: Tips N‘ Tailgate On Friday, September 9th from 4:30pm-7:00pm the Learning Center will host its 2nd Annual Tips N Tailgate event for students. Tips N Tailgate is designed for students to travel with professors to a local restaurant and spend time eating and learning helpful academic and study tips in rotating groups. Students then will proceed to the campus for a tailgate cookout. After, students will have the option to attend the Titusville High School football game with faculty & staff. The event is open to the first 15 freshmen students enrolled in FYE. If turnout is low, we will then allow upperclassmen to sign up and attend. Alpha Omega Encourages Students to Serve and Grow On Thursday, September 2nd Alpha Omega kicked off the new school year with food, fun, fellowship, and volleyball! Students may still sign up for both Erie Young Adults and Leadership Together. Students interested in getting connected to local churches, and getting plugged in on campus are encouraged to connect with Alpha Omega, UPT’s campus fellowship organization. Alpha Omega is a student-led campus fellowship organization that fosters Christ-centered relationships and spiritual growth. Weekly meetings are held Mondays at 7pm in the Learning Center, and include guest speakers, off-campus activities, service and fellowship opportunities, and is supported by the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO). Alpha Omega sponsors small group bible studies, guy’s groups, and provides opportunities to attend concerts, fall/ spring break trips, events, and conferences such as Leadership Together (SRU, Slippery Rock, PA); Jubilee Conference (Pittsburgh, PA); and Passion Conference (Atlanta, GA).
