Performance criteria 1.1 The different types of single-phase whole current meters are described in accordance with industry requirements. Range 1.2 The use of each single-phase whole current meter is described in accordance with industry requirements. Range 1.3 includes but is not limited to – ferraris disc; solid state – non timeof-use; solid state – time-of-use. includes but is not limited to – expected maximum loading conditions. The operational principles of single-phase whole current meters are described in accordance with industry requirements. Performance criteria 2.1 Single-phase whole current meters are installed in accordance with industry requirements. 2.2 Industry designs and drawings are identified and applied to installation in accordance with industry requirements. 2.3 Single-phase whole current meter operation is confirmed in accordance with industry requirements. 2.4 Installation requirements are determined and applied in accordance with industry requirements. Range includes but is not limited to – consent requirements, load requirements, tariff, access. Element 3 Commission and certify electricity metering single-phase whole current meters. Performance criteria 3.1 Commissioning checks are carried out in accordance with the prepared work plan and industry requirements. Range may include but is not limited to – phasing checks, polarity tests, wiring sequence checks. 3.2 Test equipment is used in accordance with industry requirements. 3.3 Single-phase whole current meter operation is confirmed in accordance with industry requirements. 3.4 Single-phase whole current meter is commissioned in accordance with industry requirements. Element 4 Report electricity metering single-phase whole current meter installation. Range may include but is not limited to – job sheet, daily diary, log book, certification report. Performance criteria 4.1 Reported information is completed and processed in accordance with industry requirements. © New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2007 19310 version 3 Page 4 of 4 4.2 Communication with the energy trader or agent on the meter is carried out in accordance with industry requirements. Range may include but is not limited to – meter removal, meter downloads, recording the removed meter data, forwarding data to appropriate parties, meter returns. 4.3 Installation information is recorded in the format and filed within the scheduled time-frame in accordance with industry requirements. 4.4 Further action required for plant and equipment is identified, recorded, and communicated to appropriate personnel in accordance with industry requirements. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
