Building Wire NMD90 300 Volts, Copper Conductors Nonmetallic Sheathed Cable APPLICATIONS For use primarily in residential wiring, including branch circuits for outlets, switches, etc. May be installed in both exposed and concealed work in dry or damp locations where not exposed to mechanical damage. The maximum allowable conductor temperature is 90°C. The minimum recommended installation temperature is -25°C for 2 conductor cables and -10°C for 3 conductor cables. Cables should be stored at temperatures above 0°C for 24 hours prior to installing. CONDUCTORS Solid conductors: Soft, uncoated copper Stranded conductors: Soft uncoated copper compressed stranded 90°C insulation With bonding conductor 300 volts CONDUCTOR INSULATION AND JACKET Colour-coded PVC (polyvinyl chloride), rated 90°C dry with clear nylon (polyamide) jacket. BONDING CONDUCTOR Soft, uncoated copper ASSEMBLY Two-conductor constructions have the insulated conductors laid parallel. With the bare bonding conductor laid parallel between the insulated conductors. The entire construction is encased in a durable PVC jacket. Three-conductor constructions have the insulated conductors and bare bonding conductor twisted together before being encased in a durable PVC jacket. INSULATION AND JACKET COLOUR PVC (polyvinyl chloride) jacket applied over the complete assembly: 14 AWG - White, 12 AWG - Yellow, 10 AWG - Orange, 8 AWG or larger - White. For two-conductor cables, one conductor has white insulation and the second has black insulation. For the three-conductor cables, one conductor has white insulation, the second has black insulation, and the third has red insulation. A blue overall jacket is available in two-conductor 14 AWG cable, and a red overall jacket is available in two-conductor 14-8 AWG cables with phase conductors being red and black.
