Laboratory Benches / C-Frame System
C-Frames form the skeleton of the Laboratory Benches. It carries the load of the
equipment on the benches so that it does
not have to be carried by the under bench
cabinets. A C-Frame is made from hollow
sections of 30 x 60 x 2 mm and kiln dried at
200 °C after being painted with an anti-acid
epoxy paint.

Under Bench Cabinets are suspended from
the C-Frames or placed on the floor in case
of mobile or Pedestal cabinets. The big advantage of this C-Frame is that the frames
carry all the weight. It allows easy removal of
cabinets and back panels to access the services running behind it, without the need to
remove everything from the table top. The
length of the C-Frames vary between 450
and 1800 mm. These modular sizes make it
possible to create benches of all kinds of
sizes
The frame height including legs is 720 mm for sitting type benches, and 870 mm for standing type
benches.

The bench can be placed against a separate
energy panel. This can be as wall bench or
as island bench. The back side are designed
so that they can be mounted to the energy
panel. It makes it possible to disconnect
these benches to gain access to the backside or to make major changes.
Areas underneath benches without cabinets
are normally used as kneeholes (sitting
spaces). The backside of these parts are
covered with metal panels. If mobile type
cabinets are used the complete backside of
the bench will be covered by metal panels.
This gives a cleaner look, especially when
services are running behind the back panels.
If the side of the table is exposed (end of
wall bench or both ends on an island bench)
they will also be covered by metal panels to
hide the services running through the service panels.

cabinets which are different than the
other types panels. The width and
the height varies with the size of the
bench.

Materials
Frames have leg supports made of hard PVC. The height of these support
can be adjusted between -10/+20 mm to compensate for uneven areas in
the floor.
The Panels for sitting spaces and side covers are made of galvanized iron
sheet and kiln dried at 200 °C after the surface cl eaning and painting with
anti-acid epoxy.
Colour
The horizontal and vertical parts of the C-Frame are dark grey (RAL 7040)
