Pressure Systems Industry:
Changes to Regulations, Codes
and Standards What does the
future hold?
14 June 2016,
Institution of Mechanical Engineers, One Birdcage Walk, London
Benefits of attendance:
This must-attend event will
provide a critical review of
the changes to regulation,
codes and standards that
will affect pressure systems
across a variety of sectors.
With the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) being
updated for the first time since 1997, the pressure
systems industry now faces the challenge of
staying relevant, modern and competitive.
This seminar provides attendees with a
comprehensive overview of the planned changes
to the PED and how they will be transposed by
the Department for Business, Innovation and
Skills (BIS). Sessions will be presented by key
leaders within the sector from pressure vessel
manufacturers to pressure systems operators about
how they have prepared for the changes not only
to the PED, but also the design and construction
standards.
This one day seminar will help you prepare and
protect your company from the PED update and
move the industry forwards
• Receive key updates from the
major industry players in sectors
such as oil and gas and nuclear
• Hear recent operator case
studies about how they have
prepared for the PED update
• Understand the challenges
concerning code changes facing
the industry today such as the
phasing out of the PD 5500
• Contribute to the future
direction of the pressure
systems industry through
interactive panel discussions
and debates
• Network with fellow
professionals to share ideas
about how to prepare for the
pending PED updates
