The UK’s no.1 professional monitor

When the city power fails, the UPS takes over running the equipment. The time for operation can be minutes or hours before the battery is exhausted. Add to this, the air conditioning in the room is probably inoperative and your gear is getting hot.

Get alerted if mains power fails.

Used to detect a power outage and send alerts

Input voltage range: 100 - 240VAC

Connects to a CM climate monitor via Analogue Input or CCAT

Status LEDs indicate system state

The Mini Power is an analogue sensor that enables a CM range climate monitor to detect line voltage and send an alert through email, SNMP trap or

(optional) SMS if power is lost. This provides time to either restore power or properly shutdown the system before backup power is fully utilised.

OVERVIEW

A wall transformer powers the sensor and allows the Mini Power to detect mains power. Status LEDs in the sensor’s plastic enclosure provide a visual indication that power is detected. A pair of signal wires are attached to the sensor. These wires are used to connect the Mini Power to a CM range climate monitor.

CONNECTION

Since the Mini Power is an analogue sensor it can connect directly to the Analogue Input terminals of the CM range climate monitor. If the model of climate monitor either doesn’t have analogue inputs or they are all being used, then a CCAT analogue to digital interface will allow you to attach a Mini Power to a digital sensor port.

ALARMS

Alarm thresholds can be configured on the Alarm page of the climate monitor.

In the event of a power failure, the signal will drop out; by setting the appropriate thresholds on the CM unit, it can be made to send an e-mail, SNMP alarm or SMS to the facilities manager(s), or any other personnel configured in the e-mail recipients fields.

(Note, of course, that this assumes the CM, your cable or DSL modem, plus any router(s) between the two, are connected to the UPS and stay “alive” even when the utility power goes out!) www.theclimate.co.uk | tel: 01491 410913 | The Climate, Badgers Bank, Harpsden, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG9 4HL.
