UponreceiptofthisAccessPlantheCourseCoordinatorisrequiredtoincorporatethesereasonableadjustmentsintothe

adjustmentstoattendancerequirements
• Extensionsforassessablework(excludingexams):Studentmayrequireextratimeforassignmentswithoutmedical
certificationoneveryoccasion
• Tutorialparticipationandpresentations:Student’sconditionmayhaveasignificantimpactontheirabilitytospeakin

StudentResponsibilities
IunderstandthatIhavethefollowingresponsibilitiesiftheseprovisionsareincludedinmyAccessPlan:
• Attendance:Imustmeetthemandatoryattendancerequirements,butmaynegotiateoccasionalabsenceswith
CourseCoordinatorsifappropriate.Notmeetingattendancerequirementsmayresultinfailingthecourse.Ineedto
informmyCourseCoordinatorandDisabilityAdvisorifIhaveaperiodofsignificantillnesswhichmayaffectmy
attendance
• Extensionsforassessablework(excludingexams):Imustapplyforextensionsbeforetheduedate,tonegotiatean
alternativesubmissiondatewithinexistingcoursetimelines.IunderstandthatastandardextensionwithanAccess
Planisapproximately3-5days,howeverthismaynotbepossiblewithinallcourses.
IfIneedtoapplyforalongerextension,furtherdocumentationmayberequired.
IfIneedtoapplyforanextensionrelatingtoahealthissuethatisnotincludedinthemedicaldocumentationalready
providedtotheDisabilityService,IwillneedtofollowtheModifiedArrangementsforCourseworkAssessment(MACA)

Otherresponsibilities
I must provide a copy of my Access Plan to each of my relevant Course Coordinators in the first week or two of each
semester,anddiscusstherecommendationsmadebytheDisabilityAdvisor(DA).Imustalsocontactanyotherrelevant
teaching staff who will need to know my requirements at the start of each semester e.g. Tutors, Demonstrators,
Supervisors.
Imustregularlycheckmystudentemail,andensuremycontactdetailsareuptodateonAccessAdelaide.
IfIchangemyProgram,includingundertakingHonoursorPostGraduatestudies,ImustnotifymyDisabilityAdvisoras
soonaspossible,sothatmyAccessPlancanbeupdatedtoreflectthischange.
ImustnotifymyDisabilityAdvisorifmymedicalconditionchanges.IunderstandthatthismayrequiremyAccessPlanto
