ANY CHECKS REQUIRING LARGE POWER CHANGES MUST BE DONE WHILST APPLYING
FOOT BRAKES OR WITH PARKING BRAKE SET AND FEET ON FOOTBRAKES IN CASE OF
SURGE.
1. IDLE CHECK
4. OVERSPEED GOVERNOR TEST (FIRST
FLIGHT OF THE DAY)
• ENGINES IDLE
• SELECT PROP GOV TEST SWITCH
• CHECK OIL PRESS = +40PSI
• ADVANCE POWER LEVERS & CHECK Ng
• CHECK OIL TEMP = +10 DEGREES
STABILISES AT ~70% (~20 PSI TORQUE)
2. BETA CHECK
• RETARD POWER LEVERS TO IDLE
• SLOWLY& CAREFULLY RETARD POWER
• DESELECT PROP GOV TEST SWITCH
LEVERS TO BETA RANGE
5. BLEED/PNEUMATIC TEST
• CHECK AMBER BETA LIGHT
ILLUMINATES
• ADVANCE POWER LEVERS TO IDLE
