What to check if your services aren’t working
If your services are not working, it could be simple to fix. It’s worth trying these things before contacting us:
INTERNET What to do if you have no Internet connection
•
Verify your BendBroadband modem has power.
• Make sure that the
cable connection
located on the back
of your modem
is not loose or
damaged.
•
Bypass any non-BendBroadband devices such as a wifi router by connecting a computer directly to the BendBroadband modem using an Ethernet cable. This step helps to determine which device(s)
might be the issue.
• If one computer is able to connect yet others are not, or the connection works when non-BendBroadband devices are removed, this most likely indicates that there is an issue with a specific computer or
customer-supplied device.

Troubleshooting
Welcome
TV What to do if your TV is turned on, but you have no picture
If you have no picture on your TV, try the following:
•
Make sure your TV is on Channel 4 or on the correct “input.” Check to see if you can obtain a picture
on OPB, Channel 7.
If you have a silver Polaris remote, point the remote at the cable box and press the CBL button.
•
•
If you have any other BendBroadband remote control, point the remote at the cable box and press the CBL button, and then press the red PWR (master power) button.
TV What to do if you have a picture, but no audio
Your cable box or your television (or both) may be in a mute state, so try the following:
•
Press the CBL or CABLE button on the remote provided with your cable box, then press the Mute or
Volume Up keys. You should see a white volume control appear near the top of your screen. Be sure that mute is not engaged on this volume control.
•
Next, press the TV button and again press the Mute or Volume Up keys. You should now see the volume control for your television in a color other than white at the center or bottom of your screen. Ensure the mute is not engaged on this volume control.
•
If this does not resolve the issue and you are using external audio such as surround sound, be sure that your audio system is powered on and set to the correct input to receive audio input from the cable box.
PHONE What to do if you have no dial tone
If you have no dial tone or are experiencing a service outage, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
•
Make sure that all of your phones are on the hook and that cordless phone batteries are charged.
•
If you have a cordless phone system with multiple handsets, cycle the power on the main base unit.
•
Try to plug a working corded phone into different jacks to find out if the issue is isolated to one phone or one phone jack.
•
Plug the phone directly into your Cable Modem or MTA (Multimedia Terminal Adapter) to determine if the issue may be related to the wiring inside your business location.
•
If you have two phone numbers associated with BendBroadband phone service, and only one is working, please contact us.
