Requirement
You have the task of optimizing the lighting in office buildings from an energy-saving
perspective. You want to control the lighting intensity automatically depending on
the presence of employees and the natural daylight. You know that you can make
additional savings in energy costs of up to 45% by using light management systems
(LMS).

The LS/PD MULTI3 sensor detects the presence of personnel and measures the intensity of the ambient light. Mounting height is between
2 and 4 m. The use of presence sensors in combination with daylight
sensing achieves energy savings of up to 45%.

Lighting conditions are maintained at an adjustable setpoint by means
of daylight-dependent control of the artificial light. If the daylight is a
sufficient light source, or if no people are present, the light control unit
switches off up to 6 luminaires. Light control and presence detection, as
well as automatic switch-on can be activated or deactivated via the DIP
switches.
The standby power is less than 0.5 W since the control gears are disconnected from the system voltage. Energy savings of up to 45% are possible
compared to conventional systems.

OSRAM QTi DALI control gears are characterized by maximum energy
efficiency. Switching and dimming have no effect on the service life of
the lamp.

fluorescent lamp
OSRAM T5 HE LUMILUX® lamps (16 mm) are characterized by good
luminous flux characteristics. With a preheat ECG, the OSRAM T5 HE
achieves an average service life of 20,000 hours and a useful service
life of 16,000 hours. LUMILUX T5 lamps offer excellent properties with
regard to cost-effectiveness and increased environmental friendliness.
Thanks to their high efficiency, they save up to 35% of power costs
compared to the OSRAM T8 luminaires.

fluorescent lamp
HO means High Output. This lamp system is characterized above all by
its extremely high luminous flux and thus opens up new application
areas for the fluorescent lamp such as lighting for high-ceilinged halls.
The OSRAM T5 HO 80 W/840 offers a luminous flux of up to 7,000 lm
(at 35 °C).
OSRAM HO lamps are designed for control gear operation and, like all
OSRAM LUMILUX® lamps, they can be used ideally in combination with
movement sensors to minimize energy consumption.

ELDACON®/HDP®
The optical ELDACON lighting system, comprising high-precision microprisms, directs the light at the work surface without glare and very
evenly. Workstations can be located freely in the available space thanks
to the specific light characteristics of lamps with microprism technology.
Operating efficiency levels are as high as 105% (direct/indirect beam) and
thus make a significant contribution to the energy efficiency of lighting
systems in buildings.
