December 2015 KCC Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Minimum Admissions Criteria: Applicants meeting the criteria below are considered qualified and will be considered for selection and admission. 1. Completion of prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or higher; 2. A minimum cumulative grade point ratio (CPR) of 2.5 or higher for the prerequisite general education courses and general support courses in the nursing curriculum, all courses being completed with a grade of “C” or higher; 3. An Assessment Technology Institute-Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI-TEAS) Exam taken with an adjusted individual total score of 78% or higher with a 3-year expiration. Effective June 1, 2013, an adjusted individual total score of 65% or higher will be considered for admission as part of a pilot study to be conducted by the KCC Nursing Department; 4. A minimum cumulative grade point ratio (GPR) of 2.0 for all college courses taken at Kapi’olani Community College. 5. Courses completed via credit by exam will be accepted by the Nursing Department and assigned a grade of “C” for the application ranking process. Courses completed on a credit/no-credit basis will NOT be accepted by the Nursing Department as a letter grade of “C” or higher must be verified for all prerequisite and co-requisite courses. All qualified applicants will be ranked for admissions based on combined scores of the four areas below.
