PRODUCT FEATURES
Housing
• IC-Rated for direct contact with thermal insulation. Airtight – meets Washington State Airtight Standard
WAC 51-11-05-02 and tested in accordance with ASTM E283 to reduce energy loss and sound transmission. CCEA plenum rated and approved for City of Chicago environmental air spaces.
• Accepts all Number Eight Lighting Lamp Modules and Trim Assemblies.
• All aluminum construction for maximum heat dissipation and corrosion prevention.
• Features cross-hair graphics for precise alignment during rough-in installation.
• Extra large capacity junction box with (3) 1/2” knock-outs, (2) 3/4” knock-outs, and (1) 3/8” knockout.
Junction box is UL listed for through wire branch circuiting and is accessible from below after installation.
• Extra rigid bar hangers with four lock down points and integrated self tapping fasteners which accommodate wood or metal joists w/ on center spacing of 12”-24”. Bar hangers can be mounted to either
sides or ends of housing depending on installation requirements.
Lamp Module
• Low voltage MR-16/50 watt maximum*. Accepts all MR-16 lamp styles and one optical accessory. Clear
lens included standard.
• All aluminum construction for maximum heat dissipation and corrosion prevention.
• Ideal for sloped ceiling and certain wall washing applications.
• Features 0-90° vertical adjustment, and 90° horizontal. Both vertical and horizontal adjustments include tool-free locking to ensure aiming/adjustment remains unaffected during re-lamping.
• Easily removed for servicing or to be interchanged with other Number Eight Lighting lamp modules.
*37 watt maximum when used with 802 IC housing.
Transformer/Socket Assembly
• QT - Integral Q-TranTM toroidal transformer with choke (rated max. 19db). Features dual-tap primary
inputs for 100% light output when used with a switched or dimmed circuit. Rated output of 12 volts.
• ET - Integral electronic transformer*. Rated input 120V/60Hz/75VA. Rated output of 11.7 volts.
• RT - Remote transformer (supplied by others).
• High quality porcelain socket (GX5.3 base) with 14” 18 AWG/ 250°C PTFE leads. Thermally protected
to prevent overheating from mis-lamping or installing insulation too close.
• Transformer removable and accessible from below after installation.

Lamp Module B incorporates
the magnetic trim plate into
the lamp module assembly,
and is available with either a
SQUARE trim plate (Seamless
SeriesTM and Inset SeriesTM), or
ROUND trim plate (Seamless
SeriesTM only).
Lamp Module B features 0-90
degree adjustable aiming
angle and is designed to work
in most slope ceiling environments for general, accent, and
wall wash lighting applications. Trim kit assemblies are
available for plaster, wood,
stone or acoustic tile ceilings.
Lamp Module B is available in
many designer finishes: White,
Polished Nickel**, Satin
Nickel**, Polished Brass**,
Satin Brass**, Oil-Rubbed
Bronze**, and Black**.
**Lot variations in specialty
finishes may occur. Ordering
ALL trim kits and matching
B Modules at the same time
is recommended to minimize
variations in finishes.
