The CB Scheme advantage and UL’s services The CB Scheme is a global mutual recognition scheme by which manufacturers can obtain national marks for more than 40 countries by working with one participating National Certification Body (NCB). As an NCB in Canada, Denmark, Japan and the United States, UL can evaluate many product categories to their corresponding IEC standards and applicable national differences for target countries. When the product is found to comply with all requirements, UL will issue a CB Test Report and Certificate for the product tested. The Test Report and Certificate can then be presented to the NCBs in participating countries for the issuance of their national certification marks without, in most cases, any additional testing.
