LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS One-stop equipment manufacturer Emaux FRP Pressure Vessels Emaux pressure vessels are manufactured from best quality materials by skilled workers and experienced supervising engineers. The Emaux manufacturing facility is one of the most modern in the world and used a quality assurance program that starts with confirmation and testing of the raw materials right through all stages of the manufacture and testing. Each Emaux FRP pressure vessel is individually pressure tested to 1.5 times the specified working pressure and comes with its own factory pressure test certificate, quality assurance record and serial number. Emaux Biological High Rate Sand Filters The new Emaux Biological High Rate Sand Filter have been developed over many years in conjunction with the professional LSS component designers and are specifically designed for excellent particle separation, beneficial biological activity and efficient nutrient export through the backwashing process. This design of filter has been used successfully in many large public aquarium applications throughout the world. The plenum plate nozzle underdrain system ensures uniform drainage and movement of nutrients and oxygen in the filter bed and eliminates anaerobic activity found in many lateral equipped sand filters. The plenum plate design also allows more complete and efficient backwashing. The vessels consist of a Vinyl Ester bonded moulded core which is externally reinforced by a spiral wound mono filament fabric The vessels can be made in 2.5 and 4 bar operating pressure. Higher pressure vessels are available on request. Capability & Promise Solution / Equipment / Service The vessels are available in 8 sizes from 900 mm internal diameter to 2500 mm internal diameter. Designed flow rate for optimum filtration and beneficial biological activity is 22 M3/hr (6l/s/M2). The vessels come standard with manhole/inspection hatch, observer/operator viewing port, filter drain, inlet and outlet flanged ports and air bleed. E F B C D Emaux Foam Fractionators These foam fractionators (protein Skimmers) are the result of many years of testing, development and operation. The first of this type of unit was developed in Australia in the 1990 and have been used in many major aquarium and marine mammal facilities throughout the world. The basic design has be used or copied by many manufactures but now Emaux is working in conjunction with the original designer to produce the latest and best performing range of these fractionators. The fractionators are available in process capacities of 3 l/s to 46 l/s, all units are designed to have a greater than 2 minute retention time for the larger units and a process velocity of 22 l/s. The special vessel design allows constant flow velocity above and below the venturi induced gas flow and this design also allows a uniform bubble curtain across the full surface area of the fractionator process column at approximately 11% of volume. The units include dedicated air and dedicated ozone venturis so excellent control of ozone concentrations in the vessel are consistently achievable. The venturi manifolds are easily detached for ease of transport and the larger vessels include a removable manhole / inspection hatch. The vessels are internally moulded (male mould) using VE resin to insure a smooth and accurate profile internally and are externally reinforced to provide excellent strength and durability. The Emaux production facility, quality assurance systems and attention to detail ensure an excellent and proven product at a competitive price. The vessel is manufactured using a thick moulded core using ozone resistant VE resin and externally reinforced mono filament spiral wound layer. The vessels are available in 2.5 and 4.0 bar operating pressure. Standard sizes are 700, 900, and 1200 mm dia. All vessels are 4.0 metres tall and come standard with observation window, inlet and outlet ports and a drain valve. These vessels require a inlet manifold which includes a venturi or multiple venturi’s as required. The mix vessels can be supplied with or without the inlet manifold. The mix vessel is designed to be used upstream of the ozone contact vessel which retains the gas and water in contact for sufficient time for a near complete reaction. The vessel is made in a similar way to the mix vessel and available in 2.5 and 4.0 bar working pressures. The ozone contact vessels can be used with the mix chamber or with ozone directly injected into the contact chamber through multiple venturi’s depending on application. The vessels are available in 1600, 1800, and 2000 mm dia. All vessels are 4200 mm tall and designed to provide a 3 minute contact time at the designed flow. They come standard with inlet and outlet ports, observation window and vessel drain. The vessels 900 mm and larger in diameter come with a maintenance hatch/manhole for inspection and maintenance purposes.
