Peden Hill Elementary School Kindergarten Information Dear Kindergarten Parents/Guardians, September Gradual Entry Welcome to Peden Hill Elementary School! In order to assist your child in making an enjoyable transition into his/her Kindergarten school year, we will begin the year slowly with short group visits. This gradual entry will provide each student with the opportunity to learn some of the expectations of the classroom in small group settings. Group times vary day to day, so please read the schedule carefully. Monday, September 19th is the first full day of Kindergarten from 8:38 am - 2:30 pm. Interviews During the gradual entry phase, there will be individual parent/guardian meetings. These meetings will be an opportunity for us to meet and discuss your child’s educational program. It is also an opportunity for you to express any questions or concerns that you may have. A sign-up sheet will be posted at the classroom entry. PICKING UP YOUR CHILD: All Kindergarten students must be picked up by an adult. Please wait in the boot room or outside the doors where we line up to minimize disruptions to other classes. If you are sending an alternate person to pick up your child, please make prior arrangements with myself or the office. Please be prompt when picking up your child as they can often be anxious if they do not see you waiting for them at the end of the day. I am looking forward to working with you and providing a positive learning environment during your child’s Kindergarten year. Together, as parent and teacher, we can make it a rewarding and enjoyable experience!
