Zumba is a fitness program that combines
Latin and international music with dance
moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval
training – alternating fast and slow rhythms
– and resistance training. An aerobic activity,
Zumba can count toward the 150 minutes
a week of moderate aerobic activity or 75
minutes a week of vigorous aerobic activity
recommended for most healthy adults by the
Department of Health and Human Services.
Aerobic exercise reduces health risks, keeps
excess pounds at bay, strengthens your

Zumba, you’re also more likely to do it
regularly – and experience its benefits as an

History of the
Mason-Dixon Line
NEW
Born as the result of a bitter territorial dispute
over royal land grants, the Mason-Dixon Line
was surveyed between 1763 and 1767 to settle
the boundaries for Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Later, it became associated with the division
between the North and the South. Today, the
line is still seen by many as a symbolic dividing
line for regional attitudes and customs. This
program explores the story of the line, which
runs through our land and our history, along
with the perceptions that have developed
about the boundary. Instructor: Mike Dixon

today, we no longer need to fear
it at all. It has been eradicated. For
17th century Native Americans in the

not only caused massive depopulation,
but also caused serious societal
problems whose effects can still be
seen today.
