Bio for Nils Bolgen
Nils Bolgen, Program Director – Massachusetts Clean Energy Center
Nils Bolgen is Program Director for the Commonwealth Wind Program at the Massachusetts
Clean Energy Center. In this role he oversees MassCEC’s program offerings and related
activities designed to advance land-based and offshore wind energy development in
Massachusetts.
Nils has over 25 years of experience in government-sponsored energy efficiency and renewable
energy programs. Prior to joining MassCEC Nils worked in a similar capacity at the
Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. Before that, he served in a variety of roles in energy
efficiency and renewable energy programs at the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources.
Nils has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from North Adams State College and a Master
of Environmental Planning degree from Arizona State University.
