TEACHING DOCUMENTATION - CURRENT INSTITUTION
For Tenure, Clinician-Educator, and Academic Clinician Tracks

For all new appointments (external candidates) as Associate Professor or Professor on the Tenure, CE or
AC tracks the following documentation of teaching experience from the candidate’s current institution is
required:
A letter of assessment from the academic officer (or equivalent role) responsible for maintaining the
teaching activities of the candidate must be included. This letter should include a quantitative record on
the extent of and the quality of the candidate’s teaching activities. (It is recognized that not all institutions
maintain the same records & teaching evaluation processes as the Perelman School of Medicine at the
University of Pennsylvania.)
