Causal Analysis Essay
OBJECTIVE: Students will be able to determine the causes and effects of a specific
event.
DIRECTIONS: In 1000 words develop a causal analysis that determines the main causes
of a specific event or else develops a causal chain of events. Narrate a specific event’s
beginning, middle, and end to isolate its immediate cause. Then determine the remote
cause. Analyze what the main cause might be. Also speculate the immediate and longterm effects of this chain of events. (Essays must be computer-generated, double-spaced
with 12 point type.)
