Attention MSN students!
Applications are being accepted to Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing
for Benedictine University’s Lambda Upsilon-at-Large Chapter.
What are the requirements?
Traditional Pathway: Students must have completed at least one third of the coursework (up
to NRHL 505 or the fifth nursing course in the program), and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
OR
The second pathway: Any graduate student who has not yet reached one third of the
coursework can still apply for membership as a nurse leader as long as they meet the
established nurse leader criteria in the STTI bylaws. In this case, degree of program
completion is not evaluated, GPA is not evaluated, and he/she can join any chapter of
his/her choosing.
 If interested in joining the BenU Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau Lambda Upsilon-at
Large as a nurse leader, students must submit a copy of their CV along with their
application.
How do I apply?
Please fill out the attached application form and email to Sigma@ben.edu. Application
deadline is August 18, 2015. Formal invitations will be emailed mid-September 2015. Once you
have been invited, you have one year to accept the invitation.
Already a member (inducted as a BSN)?
No need to apply! You are welcome to join our chapter at any time. Please call Sigma Theta
Tau at 1-888-634-7575 and inquire about dual membership.
