GOES-R Risk Reduction Annual Review and ICAPOP Meeting
Silver Spring, MD and Camp Springs, MD
February 22-25, 2005
I traveled to Silver Spring, MD to participate in the GOES-R Risk Reduction annual review. I
presented a summary of accomplishments from FY04 by CIRA and RAMMB on the project to
develop mesoscale analysis and forecasting applications for GOES-R. I also participated on the
Technical Advisory Committee and will be providing reviews for 4 GOES-R proposals for
FY06.
Following the GOES-R meeting, I spent two days in Camp Springs for administrative tasks
related to my acting CoRP director responsibilities. I also attended the quarterly ICAPOP
meeting and provided an update on the CIRA/RAMMB PSDI projects to implement new tropical
cyclone products at OSDPD.
