A Resolution to Change the Start time of SGA Senate Meetings
WHEREAS, SGA exists to “make sure their thoughts and needs are heard and addressed to
increase their quality of life"
WHEREAS, Senate meetings allot the first ten minutes for students to voice their concerns to

9 WHEREAS, the current meeting time of the Student Government Senate conflicts with
10 current class timetables,

WHERAS, there are classes that meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:20 p.m.
until 3:25 p.m.
WHEREAS, there are classes that meet on Monday and Wednesday only from 2:20 p.m.
until 3:45 p.m.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE 65TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE AUSTIN PEAY
STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION THAT:
Section 1. Upon passage of this resolution, the official start of SGA Senate Meetings will
begin at 4 p.m.
Section 2. The legislation section of the standing rules will be changed in accordance to fit
the passage of this resolution. Under the meetings and attendance section, it will now read
"Regularly scheduled Senate meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. and end no later than 5:00
p.m."
