Executive Order No. 1 An Amendment to the SGA Bylaws to redefine the signing authorities of SGA Presidential Orders, Executive Orders, and Senate Legislation. WHEREAS, the current Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students have given SGA the opportunity to only require signatures of students for student proposals, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 64th GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE AUSTIN PEAY STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION ON MARCH 10TH, 2010 THAT: Section 1: Amend the Student Government Association Bylaws Article VIII: A. Section 3.4, 3.5 and 3.6 to remove “and SGA Advisor(s)”. B. Rewrite Section 3.4 to “Presidential Actions shall prescribe to the same legislative criteria as outlines in the Standing Rules and shall require the signature of the President.” C. Rewrite Section 3.5 to “Executive Orders shall prescribe to the same legislative criteria as outlined in the Standing Rules and shall require signatures of the President, Vice President, Executive Secretary, and Chief Justice.” D. Rewrite Section 3.6 to “Senate Resolutions and Acts shall prescribe to the same legislative criteria as outlined in the Standing Rules and shall require signatures of the sponsoring Senator(s), President, and Chief Justice.
