Tricia Evans presented the CAA Grant, a $1.5 million consortium of Orange
County colleges for placing people who are not currently in these industries
(including SCC, OEC students, Goodwill and Rescue Mission patrons) “into the
pipeline” for high demand careers in survey, water science and public works.
Golden State and PSOMAS corporations are online to hire these students. If the
grant is approved, SCC will receive $215,000 of the $1.5 million. The deadline for
submission is February 22, with a start date of June 30th, and duration of one year.
Tricia plans to offer extra hours to existing employees for the short-term positions

There will be one grand map of the District/SAC/SCC. If there are questions, go
to the website. The President suggested that Chairs look at the existing
document. Julie Slark is the district point person and the end of April is the
target date for completion. This document is required for the SAC Self-Study, but
not for the SCC Abbreviated Self-Study.
Information
There are six faculty positions and six classified positions approved for SCC. The
President requested that the divisions move ahead with hiring to fill these
