I acknowledge that I am over the age of eighteen, and that I am voluntarily participating in the above-named Towson
University music ensemble. I understand that the ensemble may be recorded in rehearsals, recording sessions and/or
performances.
I agree that my participation in the above-named ensemble confers upon me no rights of ownership whatsoever in any
video and/or audio recordings of the ensemble’s practices, recording sessions, and/or performances (collectively,
“Recordings”). I acknowledge and agree that any Recording, together with all rights in it, shall be deemed irrevocably
transferred to Towson University. The Recordings and all copies thereof, in whatever form, together with the
performances embodied therein, shall, from the inception of their creation, be entirely Towson University’s property in
perpetuity, throughout the universe, free of any claim whatsoever by me or by any person deriving any rights or interest
through me; and Towson University shall have the right to secure all copyrights in and to the Recordings as the owner
and author thereof and to secure any and all renewals of such copyright to the extent permitted by law. I agree to
execute and deliver to Towson University such documents of transfer and other documents regarding Towson
University’s rights in the Recordings as Towson University may request to carry out the purpose of this paragraph, and
I hereby irrevocably appoint Towson University, as my lawful attorney-in-fact, to sign such documents in my name and
to make appropriate dispositions of them as Towson University shall deem necessary. Towson University, its affiliates,
employees and assigns, shall have the sole and exclusive right to use and to authorize use of the Recordings throughout
the universe in any manner and by any means, without restrictions, including but not limited to any photograph or
recorded image of either me or property belonging to me, any recording of my voice or statements made by me for any
purpose, and any use of my name during the process of such recordings, in whole or in part, without inspection or
further consent or approval by me or my parent or guardian (if applicable) of the finished product or any use which
may be made of it. I further agree that Towson University may (or may authorize others to do so), without limitation,
through any means whatsoever, copyright, modify, edit, alter, duplicate, distribute and/or publicly perform and permit
the public performance of any or all Recordings.
In consideration for being allowed to participate in the ensemble, I hereby release Towson University, its agents,
employees, officers, directors and assigns from liability for any claims by me or by any third party in connection with
my participation in the above-named ensemble. This voluntary grant and release will not be made the basis of any
future claim of any kind against Towson University, the University System of Maryland, or the State of Maryland.
I agree to the use of my name, likeness, voice and biographical materials about me for program publicity and
promotional purposes.
