VSU HAPPENING 2015 BUSINESS & COMMUNITY EXHIBITOR INFORMATION (2 pages) Event Date: Registration: Thursday, August 27, 2015, 1:00pm to 4:00pm on VSU Front Lawn $25.00 If received by Friday, August 14 $35.00 If received August 15-21 Registration Closes at 3:00pm August 21st Check or money order should be made out to VSU Student Life and sent to: VSU Student Life - Happening Student Union #3118 1500 North Patterson Street Valdosta GA 31698-0566 Booth Information: The first 300 Exhibitors will be provided with one (1) 6ft long table, two (2) chairs and a space approximately 10 ft x 10 ft, if you need more space, please contact us. At check-in you will be given a sign to tape to the table of your choice to claim it. Booth location is first come—first served, based on event day check-in time. Please do not arrive before 10:30am. Electricity: A limited number of 110/120 electrical outlets are available. Electricity will be assigned first to exhibitors giving away food items and who need electricity to prepare the food and keep it safe to consume. Students love free food! Parking: Parking on campus is severely limited. Plan to ask someone to drop you off at CheckIn and return to pick you up at the end of the event. If the students have no place to park, they can’t visit your booth. Exhibitors who cannot make arrangements to be dropped off might be able to find a parking spot at the Ashley Cinema Lot or Billy Grant Baseball Field. You will not be ticketed if you park there. The VSU Shuttle Buses run about every 15 minutes to/from North Campus. Please refer to the Event Map for more details. Event Day Check-In: All exhibitors must check-in at the Information Tent. Check-in is 10:30am to 12:00pm. Set up to be complete by 12:30pm. Load out/cleanup is 4:00 to 5:00pm. Please do not leave before the end of the event. Be sure to police your booth area, pick up trash, etc. Event Announcer: A DJ/Emcee will play music and make official announcements from the stage, including door prize winners, general information, and safety announcements. Restrictions: No selling, fundraising, or credit card sign-ups are permitted The use of all forms of tobacco products and devices is prohibited on the VSU campus. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the exhibit area. Activities at your booth must not interfere with attendees’ ability to hear announcements made from the Event Stage. In past years, Exhibitors have: Offered Door Prizes (Students fill out entry forms and pick up prizes at the Event Information Tent; drawings are held throughout the event, winners and Exhibitors donating prizes announced by the DJ; need not be present to win, Student Life Office will contact any student winners not present, who will pick up prizes at our office. Exhibitors may also bring written information describing the prize to the Information Tent; winners will be directed to the Exhibitor’s booth to pick up prizes; door prizes not picked up may be taken to the Information Tent at event’s end and Student Life will contact the student winner). Let the Information Tent know if you want the DJ to announce your winners) Brought a Canopy/tent for shade (It’s August in Valdosta!)
