Assignment 2 Definition Paragraph Name: Eric Nuñez Composition II February 3th, 2011 Opportunistic Infections related with AIDS. Opportunistic infections are different kind of sickness that people infected by AIDS commonly suffer. These opportunistic infections are caused by germs or bacteria that normally are around us, but in most of the cases, the inmunitary system of the human body can face them and the person feels healthy, on the other hand, opportunistic infections can appear as a simple cold and degenerate in pneumonia or worse, so the person infected will be for long time in the hospital under medical and specialized treatment, however, if a healthy person feels an unknown symptom, it does not mean that is an opportunistic infection related with AIDS, because there are different illnesses which develop similar symptoms. Finally, if an opportunistic infection appear in a person infected with AIDS there is hope, actually the technology has allowed to scientists develop treatments that can help the body to face these infections and improve the patients quality of life.
