Promotion to Full Professor
(subject to consultation with higher administration and AAUP)
• I am proposing that we establish a voluntary full
review for Associate Professors in the School of
Engineering.
• This review will be 2- 3 years before intended
application for promotion to the rank of full
professor.
• The review will entail full PTR evaluation within
the school (Department Committee, Department
Head, Dean’s Council and the Dean) to evaluate
and provide timely feedback on faculty members’
progress towards promotion to full professor.
• External reviews will not be solicited.
Citations and h-index
Proposed addition to the SoE-PTR Amplification of
Procedures
• Currently:
A listing of citation record using Scopus and Google
Scholar must be included. Additional citations can be
included.
• Proposed Addition:
The applicant is encouraged to provide
comparative context (for interpretation of the
citation metrics) within their own disciplines
and/or in their rank.
