Purpose of the Advisory Committee The mission of the Boling Center is to promote, support, and enhance the independence, productivity, integration, and inclusion of individuals with disabilities and their families in the community. The Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) is the primary consumer advising body for Boling Center faculty and staff. The purpose of the CAB is to review, advise, and make recommendations that will assist the University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) to maintain and develop initiatives that reflect the UCEDD mission. The CAB provides a forum for individuals with disabilities, their families, and provider representatives to voice interests, views, and issues related to disability laws and policies. The UCEDD faculty and staff value consumer input, guidance, and feedback regarding training, research, technical assistance, and direct services. The Consumer Advisory Board meets on a quarterly basis. Regular meetings are held in September, November or December, March, and June. Boling Center staff has made arrangements for you to participate in these meetings through video conferencing and/or telephone. You will have the opportunity to participate in your community. The Boling Center faculty and staff wish to thank you for your participation.
