Ministry of Finance & Economic Development (position held since 2012)
 Prior to current position, in 2008-2012, Fisseha Aberra was a senior
diplomat based in Belgium, liaising with the European Commission and
the Benelux governments
 From 2004-2008, he was Department Head of the Multilateral
Cooperation Department, Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development.
 He holds a B.A. in Economics (1987) and M.Sc. in Economic Policy and
Analysis (1997) from the Addis Ababa University
Highlights of some works and tasks

Served as a government technical focal person during the preparation of
several country cooperation frameworks for multilateral institutions working in
Ethiopia

Worked as a focal person for many initiatives on Aid Harmonization and
Effectiveness related technical discussions and forums in Ethiopia in the early
to late 2000s

Represented Ethiopia in the Rome and Paris Aid Harmonization and
Effectiveness forums

Played key roles in the design of several of the pooled arrangements, sector
programs and budget support related instrument in Ethiopia

Negotiated many multilateral financed credit agreements that finance
development projects in Ethiopia
