1. Pay attention in class
a. No talking
b. Focus on the lesson being taught
c. Sit with good posture, face forward, and keep your feet, and legs under
your desk
2. Take good notes
a. Write the date on every page
b. Write the heading of what the notes are about
c. Write everything from slides, and everything written on the board
d. Draw and label all diagrams and illustrations
3. Read your textbook – to gain understanding
a. Outline the chapters we are covering in class
i. Write out all the headings from the text
ii. Summarize the main points the author is trying to teach you in the
section
iii. Write out the vocabulary words from the section with their
definitions
iv. Sketch diagrams from the text in your outline

a. Read all the notes on the topic we are covering daily
b. Click on the links and read the supplemental information from the links
c. Watch the animations repeatedly until they make sense
d. Listen to the audio (if it is available) repeatedly until you understand what

5. Memorize vocabulary daily
a. Write the words and definitions repeatedly until you know them
b. Read out loud the words and definitions repeatedly until you know them
c. Create and use flashcards
