March





PRAY for our BUMissions Teams serving during Spring Break in Guatemala (x3),
Dominican Republic (x2), Colombia, Haiti, Eagle Pass (TX), Alaska, Hunger in Texas
During Spring Break: Make sure you bring your Passport back to campus with you! and
if you have time, get passport pics taken (if you’re going to Ghana/Brazil/Zambia)
March 18th: Scholarships will be Announced via email!
NO MONEY DUE IN MARCH (for most teams)!!! KEEP ON SUPPORT RAISING!
o Have you set up your mobile cause?

March 23rd Paperwork Deadline
o Turn in a copy of my passport (if going international)







April 4th: Attend BUMissions Summit (aka Orientation) It’s MANDATORY! 6-9pm in
Foster Business 250
April 6th: Final Payment for International. My account needs to be at 100% !
April 11th: Final Payment for Domestic. My account needs to be at 100% !
Attend more Team Meetings! Can I name at least 5 people on my team yet? What’s my
leaders name again? What are we doing on this trip?

Does my Cell Phone work abroad? Make sure! it’s required! Put the number on BearsAbroad
(under Questionnaires)



Did I sign the Trip Agreement form on BearsAbroad?
Gather Donations: friends may not have money to give, but they may have supplies! Ask
your team leader if there are any donated goods you can bring to share with your global
partner.
Start a Journal or a Blog: What are you feeling about the trip? Excited? Scared? What
are your expectations? What do you hope to learn? What do you know already? Send
the link to your friends & donors so they can pray for you 

It’s TIME! Educate/Disciple/Believe/Lift Up/Inspire/Transform/ and GO & Be
Transformed on your BUMissions Trip!
o Be prayerful & open to learn something new daily
o Be a positive team member & build up one another
o Be flexible & adaptable; trust your team leader & your global partners
o Emerge yourself in the local culture: don’t be afraid to speak the language or eat
new foods
o Keep a journal/blog (not just a recap of your schedule and favorite foods, but
your honest thoughts and experiences)







Have a Reunion with your team: get together, reminisce about the good ol’ days and
keep reflecting about the experience
Organize your pics, videos, & stories to share with BUMissions and your donors &
friends. (your stories could end up on Baylor Proud or in Baylor Magazine! woohoo)
Perfect your stump speech: when people ask about your trip, be ready to tell them a
good story. Have a good 90 sec. spill for acquaintances, and some deeper stories for
friends, family, & donors who want to hear more about who you met, what you learned
& how you want to use the experience to make a difference in the future.
Turn in Scholarship Requirements, if applicable
Fill Out BUMissions Survey (what’d you think about the trip? Learn anything about
yourself? About God? About Others? Let us know!)
Apply to be a 2017 BUMissions recruiter (applications available in summer; get paid in
awesome swag & scholarship towards your next BUMissions Trip!)
