Dear Parents:
Thank you for all your support and dedication
to the education of your children! With you at their
side, my students will succeed and shine in kinder.
Please help your child complete homework daily and
turn in on Fridays. Homework will begin the week of
August 10. Story books are optional; reading to your
child helps them develop vocabulary, general
information about the world, listening, and
communication skills. I will be sending a sample
reading log and more information on this at a later
date. The students that turn in 25 or more book logs,
will receive a medal at the end of the year so go do
some READING!!!
Thanks a lot to all parents who already send
the supplies and all paperwork needed. If you had not
done so, please send them as soon as possible.
Headphones will be used during computer lab and will
start the third week of August. Breakfast is being
served to all students every day. I recommend
students eat at home if they are not good at trying
different foods.
What We Are Learning:
Language Arts:
Letter names and sounds, Rhyming words, initial
sounds, writing process, and writing first and last
name
Math:
Rote counting 1-30, recognition of numbers 0-5,
addition problems using objects; using pictures,
Science:
Recycling, Matter/ Energy, Force/Motion
Social Studies: Rules for safety, authority figures in
school and in the community/Jobs in the community

class who collects the most, will receive a prize at
the end of the nine weeks. Children love it!
