October 14, 2015 Dear 7th grade science parents/guardians, This week we will be covering the Endocrine and Reproductive systems of the human body. Students have been made aware that this unit is strictly regarding the biological process and not a discussion about moral, ethical, or sex education. The Texas Education Agency standard for this unit is as follows: 7.12B Identify the main functions of the systems of the human organism, including the circulatory, respiratory, skeletal, muscular, digestive, excretory, reproductive, integumentary, nervous, and endocrine systems. Identify MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE SYSTEMS OF THE HUMAN ORGANISM Including, but not limited to: Reproductive (produce offspring) o o Male Testicles Penis Sperm Female Ovaries Uterus Vagina Egg Endocrine (regulate the body) o Glands o Hormones
