1. Tim and Harry committed crime of larceny. They took goods from the store and
intended to carry them away from the store without paying. Both of them are
legally liable because they have already reached the age of 14. Steve, Susan’s
boss, committed another type of crime called embezzlement. He appropriated
cash from the register of the store where he worked.
2. Mary committed a wrongful act – tort of negligence. While running out from the
store, she pushed Susan, a StopGap employee, to the ground. As a result,
Susan suffered some physical injuries. Mary is liable for the result of her actions,
even if she didn’t have the intent to injure Susan.
3. Defenses to larceny and embezzlement are:
