Tony Campos ePortfolio Scholars Program 2010 This semester in spring 2010 I was honored to have been selected to join the ePortfolio Scholars program. A program dedicated to showcasing what this school has taught us and one in which I learned a lot. Since I was never involved in extracurricular activities back in high school, I made it a priority to make the time to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and attend all the ePortfolio workshops available to me. During the scholars program, I mastered many new technical skills using the computer software called Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. I believe that my newly acquired skills in creating and designing websites will be very helpful in the future since we are living in a digital world. My favorite part about working on the ePortfolio was the fact that we had to write reflections for our classes and assignments. I never really thought about the work I did in LaGuardia after it was complete, so it was nice to look back and reflect on my feelings about the classes. When we had to review our assignments and evaluate them critically to conclude how they had impacted us, I really got a sense of growth both as a web designer and as a person. The student technology mentors of the class were also very helpful as they gave me additional ideas that enhanced the overall look of my e-Portfolio. Upon completion of my ePortfolio, I browsed my website again, and saw the reflection of my journey at LaGuardia Community College. I learned a lot about myself and my future plans. I also noticed that all the classes I had taken had directed me towards my future career goals. The overall experience of e-Portfolio scholars program was very enjoyable, constructive, and knowledgeable. Given a chance I would recommend other students who are given the opportunity to attend the scholars program to take part in this wonderful program, as I feel it is a great experience to take part in and you can really learn a lot.
