There are different fare types for
customers: lowest, refundable and
awardable. They seem more reliable
when you have any problems with
your flight.
Fast response to the links on the site
Willing to provide you with customer
service and has a customer service
link.
Provides good information, easy and
fast browsing through information.
Very modern, the site is up-to-date
and has a warm vibe to where it
makes you curious and wants you to
browse more,
American Airlines
They don’t really provide much
reliability, except for changing
reservations for flights, finding out if
there are any delays for scheduling.
Fast response to the links on the site
Also willing to provide information
with a customer service link.
Provides good information as well,
but it’s sometimes confusing.
Simple and original, doesn’t really
draw a customer into the site. It has
traditional & not-up-to-date website
graphics.
II. Marriott
By using Marriott’s internet reservation system, a customer can find a hotel and book their reservations
for any Marriott hotel worldwide. The BBBOnline Privacy Program protects customers’ valuable
information when going into business websites where their personal information is needed in any way.
Marriott includes its seal on its website to show to customers’ that they can be trusted and they want
customers to be able to trust the internet more with the BBBOnline Privacy Program.
Chapter 13—Net Savvy Assignment
I. eBay
The pricing options that eBay provides is and auction-like bidding option to which the customer would
have to bid up on others to win the product or they can find an option that says “Buy It Now.” The “Buy
It Now” option is set to a certain price that can’t be changed once purchased. Depends on the product,
the product can be the least expensive but the quality is not good, while spending a little more, the
product can be in good shape. It also works vice versa. Amazon.com would be somewhat identical in
some ways. However, it doesn’t have the same options as to eBay. The pricing and buying options are
slightly different. If a customer had to buy a copy of a book, it’s best that they check Barnes and Nobles
first to see if there are any used books before buying on eBay or Amazon. The reason is that these kind
of auctioning type of websites tends to deliver slower that a bookstore, and that a customer would have
to pay a higher shipping & handling price. Whereas Barnes and Nobles, the prices would be cheaper and
more reasonable.
II. Dell
The starting price of a Dimension 3000 desktop without a monitor would be $289 (in US dollars). In the
UK, the Dimension 3000 starting price would be 299EU ($397 US dollars). The desktop doesn’t vary it’s
the exact same desktop. The reason is because of the recession, foreign dollars worth more than the US
dollars.
