Syntax Size (bit) Description Notes A-MAP IE types 4 MAP-IND A-MAP IE Number of STIDs (N) TBD - STID TBD STID for AMS A-MAP bitmap variable Based on DL/UL ratio and number of AMAPs. The value can be obtained in SFH. For (i=0; i<N; i++) { } Reserved TBD Padding variable Byte alignment CRC 16 16 bits CRC 4 Care-of A-MAP Indication Extended Header • The extended header is sent onto a downlink “data channel” • When detecting the header, AMS knows which A-MAPs to be decode in the following subframes • Extended header format HT AI HT: header type AI: A-MAP indication. Each bit indicates the appearance of care-of A-MAPs 5 Method Comparison • Option A: – Pros: • The indication appears more dynamically – Cons: • Larger signaling overhead • Option B: – Pros: • Less signaling overhead – Cons: • The indication is restricted by the transmission timing of DL data • MS processing time should be considered (2~3 subframes) • Less scheduling flexibility 6 Proposed Text • Add a new section: - 15.3.6.4.2.9 A-MAP indication (MAP_IND) A-MAP IE The MAP_IND A-MAP IE includes two fields to indicate the station ID (STID) and the care-of A-MAP indication bitmap, respectively. The size of MAP_IND A-MAP IE is confined to one A-AMAP_IE size. Syntax Size (bit) Description Notes A-MAP IE types 4 MAP-IND A-MAP IE Number of STIDs (N) TBD - STID 12 STID for AMS A-MAP bitmap 3 Based on DL/UL ratio and number of AMAPs. The value can be obtained in SFH. For (i=0; i<N; i++) { } Reserved TBD Padding variable Byte alignment CRC 16 16 bits CRC 7
