BIOGRAPHY of Radhakrishna Canchi Dr. Radhakrishna Canchi has been a Director of Engineering at KYOCERA Telecommunications Research Corporation (KTRC), USA. He is responsible for the Research and Development of Mobile broadband wireless systems at KTRC. He has more than 19 years of experience in wireless communications field with an extensive background in global wireless industry standards, and participated in IEEE802.11, IEEE802.20, 3GPP2, ETSI-BRAN, ARIBMMAC (Japan) Standardization meetings and made several contributions to IEEE802.20 Working Group. Dr. Radhakrishna Canchi has been a member of IEEE 802.20 WG since January 2004 and has been a key contributor to the 802.20 system requirements, Channel Models, Traffic Models and the proponent of 625k-MC mode TDD system in the Sponsor Ballot Draft of IEEE802.20. Before joining KTRC in 2004, Dr. Canchi held the position Program Director for Pico and Broadband Wireless Access at Centre for Wireless Communications and Associate Lead Scientist at Institute of Infocomm Research in Singapore during 2001-2004. He also held Research Engineer, Project Manager and Group leader Positions at Nokia Research Center in Japan during 1998-2001, Kyocera Japan during 2001-2002, and at C-DOT (Centre for Development of Telematics) in India during 1989-1998, respectively. Dr. Canchi has served as a panel member and a member of board at Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA)’s Connected Home and Broadband Access Programs, respectively.
