• Examples
 Consultation with faculty statisticians and statistical
analysts in the Biostatistics Collaboration Center.
 Regulatory support from NUCATS
 Computational Cluster CPU time to run specific analyses
 Participant recruitment
 Laboratory or hospital tests such as CBC’s
 Qualitative focus groups
 Analysis of samples by core facility

NUCATS Vouchers
• Up to $2500
• Faculty PI but fellow may be driving it
• One-pager, rolling application, rapid turnaround
 The request must be for clinical and translational
research projects.
 Gap addressed by the request should not be fundable
through other sources available to the applicant.
 The request should be hypothesis driven.
 Specify the target date and source of subsequent
extramural funding.

• Up to $10,000
• Faculty PI but fellow may be driving it
• Three page application twice a year, formal
review
 The request must be for clinical and translational
research projects.
 Gap addressed by the request should not be fundable
through other sources available to the applicant.
 The request should be hypothesis driven.
 Specify the target date and source of subsequent
extramural funding.
