Proposal for Honors Thesis in French, Italian, Linguistics, and Spanish in the Languages, Linguistics, and
Comparative Literature Department
As per the Honors Curriculum Manual, the proposals to request these theses courses were submitted to the Arts
and Letters Undergraduate Programs Committee (Fall 2013). They were then submitted to the University Honors
Council where they were approved on 13 January 2014 pending two minor additions to the syllabi. The LLCL
Department accepted those recommendations unanimously on 17 January 2014. These theses courses are an
integral part of the LLCL Department’s Honors in the major proposal that was approved last Fall 2013.
We are now asking the UUPC to consider approval of these four theses courses. Thank you.
