In light of the fact that the Ugandan Constitution provides for freedom of
expression, Sweden would like to ask what Uganda is doing to honor its
obligations under its international commitments to respect, protect and
promote the freedoms of expression and assembly?

Sweden would like to ask the Government of Uganda what measures are being
taken to ensure that the rights of all persons, including the rights of the LGBTI
persons, are being protected? What is Uganda doing to curb the continued
discrimination of LGBTI persons?

Sweden would like to ask what actions are being taken to adopt the Prohibition
and Prevention of Torture Bill and to ratify the Optional Protocol on torture?
What is Uganda doing to ensure that all state agents committing acts of torture
are held accountable and that the victims are compensated as per the
recommendations of the UHRC tribunals?

Sweden would like to ask what actions Uganda is planning to undertake to
ratify the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and
Political Rights (1966) that aims to abolish the death penalty?
