2. Round Table Discussion: Research Developments

- Has been in rowing try-outs
- Attached limb segments to gimbal with Johan and put stops on it.
- Has been working on the Hawkin’s t-score analysis which can tell you what the
outliers are in a data set and shows what your model can’t tell you.
Andreas

Back from vacation
Has been researching Langevin statistics for polymer chain arrangements
Will get pilot test results on Tuesday from Zimmer
May go to Warsaw, IN for one week.

- Pressure mat calibration
- Pressure mat pilot data
- Worked on attaching the pressure mat behind the knee using stretchy Velcro
- Working on changing the visual basic program to change the data collection time
limit.

Working on amalgamating her programs with Andrew’s programs in MATLAB

Summarized the results of different methods in her trunk lean work
Heather set a meeting with Dr. Cooke to learn how to calculate joint space on x-rays
Heather has surgery on Tuesday
3. Heather: X-ray grading tutorial
- Heather talked about the various criteria/indicators used to grade x-rays using the
Cooke scale and the K/L scale
- The indicators discussed included: joint space, osteophytes, tibial erosion,
subluxation, bony sclerosis
