Fitness Graduate Assistant – Group Fitness (1)





These positions manage the Johnson Center during the evening and weekends (please see

o General operations
 Assist with interview and hiring process of facility workers



The graduate assist is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the total

o Assist the director in the organization and administration of the Intramural Sports

and/or special events that they will be held accountable and responsible for
each semester

Plans, schedules, organizes, leads, and implements outdoor activities
o Activities include hiking, biking, canoeing, backpacking, rock climbing, whitewater

o Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment
 Coordinates with campus, county, and state officials on programs and
information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses



Graduate Assistant will assist in the supervision of the aquatic student employees
o Prepare weekly schedules for lifeguards

Desk Clerk Coordinator Graduate Assistant




This position works in collaboration with Residence Hall Directors and staff to ensure the
safety of campus residence halls
o Assist with the recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling a staff of student desk
clerks to cover residence hall front desks, primarily between the hours of 12 am and
8 am
o This position serves as an indirect supervisor for all desk clerks
o Conducts initial and on-going training

This position will serve in an active advisory capacity to the student leaders of the Resident
