Week of March 21 – 25, 2016 Monday We choral read the book, Push and Pull, by Marcia Freeman and watched, Push & Pull on BrainPop Jr., a fun learning website. Next, we drew objects that can either be pushed or pulled and sorted them into groups. After reading a non-fiction book, we recorded new information we learned on a recording sheet. In math, we have begun thinking about measurement. We read the story, The Three Bears, by Paul Galdone. We talked about Big, Medium and Small. We sorted objects into their correct size. Tuesday We had fun interactively creating different versions of the poem, “Spring is Here” We found sight words and learned some new words; “so, do, be”. In math, we enjoyed the book, How Big is Big?, by Harriet Ziefert. Each child got a piece of string of different sizes. They needed to find objects in the classroom that were bigger, smaller and about the same size. We checked our “How Wednesday To” books to be sure our pictures clearly teach the reader. clearly.
